Weather Advisory

ATT: BRIELLE RESIDENTS:
THIS IS A MESSAGE FROM THE BRIELLE POLICE DEPT..

THE NAT'L WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM AND COASTAL FLOOD WARNING FOR OUR AREA FROM WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6TH THROUGH THURSDAY, MARCH 7TH.

BRIELLE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND THE BRIELE POLICE DEPT. HAVE ISSUED A VOLUNTARY EVACUATION FOR THE LOW LYING AREAS OF BRIELLE. OF MOST CONCERN ARE WEDNESDAY 3:00 P.M. HIGH TIDE PREDICTION OF APP. 7.0 FEET TO 7.5 FEET ABOVE NORMAL MEAN LOWER LOW WATER AND THURSDAY 4:00 A.M. FORECAST OF APP. 8.0 FEET TO 8.5 FT. ABOVE MEAN LOWER LOW WATER.

THIS STORM WILL ALSO CONTAIN SUSTAINED 30 TO 40 MPH WINDS AND UPWARDS OF 60 MPH WIND GUSTS, THEREFORE SECURING ALL LOOSE ITEMS AROUND YOUR HOME IS ALSO ADVISED. SNOWFALL IS ALSO PREDICTED TO A LEVEL OF 2-4 INCHES.

IN THIS EVENT PLEASE BE SURE ALL VEHICLES ARE CLEAR OF THE ROADWAYS SO AS TO ALLOW EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE CLEARING OF THE SNOW.
